Butch is the founder of Virtual Management Systems. He has been in the insurance industry for over 28 years, specializing in securing coverage for complex property and casualty accounts. Throughout his career, Butch has been appointed to numerous regional and national insurance company advisory boards, including: USF&B, Royal Insurance, CNA Insurance, Safeco Insurance Company, Mutual of Enumclaw, the New York Schools Insurance Reciprocal and the New York Municipal Insurance Reciprocal. His insurance expertise is evidenced by his broker relationship with Bombardier, an international company located in Quebec, Canada with sales in excess of 20 billion dollars, that spans more than two decades. Butch holds a B.A. in History and a Masters degree in Education from St. Lawrence University. He was employed with Northern Insuring Agency, Plattsburgh, New York, for more than 20 years, most recently as the Vice President of Marketing. Butch is also President of Sage Insurance Brokers, Inc., an independent insurance agency in Bend, Oregon.

Dave Plante, Chief Technology Officer (dave@virtualmgtsystems.com)
Dave has over 27 years of software development experience in various business and engineering applications, and is the "brains" behind the VMS technology platform. Dave is also the President and Principal Developer of Symmetry Technology Labs, Inc., providing web-based software products and services to the insurance industry primarily focused on ACORD Forms and ACORD XML. Dave has worked extensively with Microsoft, Acordia, Hartford Insurance Group, PartnerRE, and ACORD Corporation. Dave holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY.

Kim Welch, Director of Operations (kim@virtualmgtsystems.com)
Kim has been in the insurance industry for 19 years and has been critical to the successful formation of Virtual Management Systems, directing the creation of all modules. She has extensive experience in personal lines insurance and prior to joining Virtual Management Systems, managed a large personal lines agency department. With her energy, drive, knowledge, and unparalleled skills in customer service, Kim is a tremendous asset to the VMS team. For the past 2 years Kim has served on the CISR advisory committee for the Professional Insurance Agents Associations of Oregon.
